Successful participation at FedCSIS!

12 set

I came to Wroclaw, Poland, to participate to the Workshop on Computational Optimization (WCO), within the 7th International Symposium on Advances in Artificial Intelligence and Applications (AAIA’12), at the Federated Conference in Computer Science and Information Systems (FedCSIS 2012). Guess what? To my greatest surprise, yesterday night I have been awarded a prize! Yes, the International Fuzzy Systems Association (IFSA) Award for Young Scientist! I’m still in disbelief about it, and still so glad :-)

For the rest, I discovered that Wroclaw is a very pleasant city: it is beautiful, friendly and welcoming. There are many old beautiful buildings that survived the bombings of the second world war which are worth a visit. Also, Wroclaw is home to  University which attracts here about 150k students, which count for about a fifth – a forth of the population, so many young people live here. Today is my last day and I’d like to visit a cemetery where the bodies of many Italians are buried. From what I understood, they are from the first world war: I’d like to see if I can find any surname that I know,or maybe some ancestors. If I find something, I’ll write more about it.
